Dr. Songül Dursun
Specialist in Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery
Dr. Songül Dursun is a physician specializing in Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery, with a particular focus on functional and aesthetic rhinoplasty. Her primary goal in rhinoplasty is to achieve natural, balanced, and harmonious results by comprehensively evaluating the patient’s facial anatomy, skin structure, cartilage and bone structure, and breathing function.
Born in Ankara in 1990, Dr. Dursun completed his elementary, middle, and high school education in Ankara. After earning his medical degree from Selçuk University’s Meram Faculty of Medicine, he completed his residency in Otolaryngology at Ankara Training and Research Hospital. Following his residency, he served at Artvin State Hospital as part of his mandatory state service. Dr. Dursun later moved to Istanbul, where he continues to practice.
In Dr. Songül Dursun’s clinical approach, rhinoplasty is viewed not merely as an aesthetic change, but as a comprehensive surgical process that involves preserving the nose’s fundamental functions and, where necessary, improving them. For this reason, during surgical planning, the patient’s facial proportions, nasal anatomy, breathing function, expectations, and surgical suitability are evaluated in detail.
Dr. Dursun evaluates open and closed rhinoplasty techniques based on the patient’s anatomical needs, prioritizing results that are natural-looking, harmonious with the rest of the face, and supportive of healthy breathing. In addition to primary rhinoplasty, she also performs revision rhinoplasty and ethnic rhinoplasty procedures.
Dr. Songül Dursun has contributed to various topics in the field of Otolaryngology through her scientific research. She holds the European Board Certification in Otolaryngology (FEBORL-HNS) and is a member of the European Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery (EAFPS).
Today, Dr. Dursun approaches rhinoplasty and nasal function surgeries by balancing aesthetic expectations with medical necessities,
